Once inside, I was hoping for a welcoming experience, but I was a bit let down. The young Hispanic woman who attended to me seemed distant and unfriendly, which made it hard to relax during my outpatient appointment. I understand that everyone has their days, but a little professionalism goes a long way in healthcare. Overall, I felt like I could have received much better care if the staff set aside personal feelings and focused on creating a supportive environment. I occasionally seek healthcare access here, but I might reconsider if this is what I can expect going forward.

After my visit to Union Health Service, Inc in Chicago's Near West Side, I have mixed feelings. The doctors I interacted with were genuinely knowledgeable and seemed to care about my medical concerns, which was a huge relief. However, my experience with the nursing staff left much to be desired. Honestly, some interactions felt a bit antagonistic, making me feel more stressed than I needed to be. I think the whole patient experience could really improve with better nurse communication. Also, implementing a system like MyChart would make it so much easier to manage my health records and appointments. Overall, while I appreciate the expertise of the providers, there's definitely room for improvement in the overall atmosphere.
