I’ll never forget my last visit to the Copley-Price Family YMCA in Mid-City, San Diego. I was really excited to drop my daughter off for some fun at their Child Watch service while I took a much-needed break. But honestly, it was a bit of a letdown. The staff, including Ana, seemed quite unfriendly, which made me worry about leaving my daughter there. I just wanted her to have a good time, but the tension in the air was palpable. I think a little training or even some new faces could really enhance the experience for both kids and parents. Hopefully, they address this because I really wanted to enjoy the rest of my time at the Y!

As soon as I decided to cancel my membership, I anticipated a seamless process, but that’s not what I experienced at all. The cancellation procedure was surprisingly frustrating, taking far longer than it should have. The staff seemed overwhelmed and unfriendly, making it difficult to get clear answers about the process. I genuinely felt disappointed, especially since my time there had been generally positive before this point. It would be great to see more customer service training for the staff, as a more compassionate approach could really enhance the experience. Overall, although I enjoyed my workouts and classes, the negative experience during my cancellation overshadowed the positives.
