Xcellent Hair Square

I never expected my visit to end up being such a stressor. I was really looking forward to a quick haircut, especially since I had limited time to spare in Flushing after a busy day. Unfortunately, the service was unprofessional and slow. I arrived and was told I’d just have to wait, which ended up being so much longer than I anticipated. It felt like I was forgotten in the chaos. When it was finally my turn, I was hoping for a quick trim, but the stylist didn't seem to be very attentive, which was disappointing. I think better communication and scheduling could really transform the experience. I'd love to see them improve on that—just make it a bit more organized, and it could really shine.

When I first walked into Xcellent Hair Square, I hoped for a magical transformation after some disappointing attempts at color in the past. I was looking for a fresh look, something vibrant that would lift my spirits. Unfortunately, the experience felt more like a nightmare than a dream. The hair coloring service was not only less than satisfying, but it left my hair feeling fried! I had specifically asked for a balayage, but what I got looked more like a muddled mess. The staff seemed preoccupied and unresponsive to my concerns when I tried to voice my dissatisfaction during the treatment. And to top it off, I decided to add a keratin treatment, thinking it would help repair my damaged locks. It did nothing but add to my worries about the state of my hair. I left feeling traumatized, and all I could think about was how to fix what was done. I really wanted to love my hair, but instead, I felt like I needed a style rescue. It’s such a bummer because I had heard good things about this place, but for me, it just didn’t pan out.

My first impression of my visit was how welcoming everyone in Flushing was! I treated myself to a Wash, Cut, and Blow Dry, and let me tell you, my hair has never looked better! The friendly staff made the whole experience enjoyable, and I left feeling like a million bucks. The cut was perfect—really brought my hair back to life! I only go occasionally, but after this visit, I might need to reconsider that. Highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the area!
