I walked into Westchester Medical Center feeling hopeful after my femur surgery, but unfortunately, my experience was quite frustrating. The communication from the staff, especially my nurse Abby, was lacking at crucial moments when I needed clarity about my pain management. There were times when I felt like I was left in the dark, adding to my discomfort. While the hospital had the tools to help, the execution fell short. I believe that enhancing both communication and pain management protocols would greatly improve the overall experience for patients. It’s disheartening when you're focused on recovery and the support you rely on isn't where it should be.

Without question, my experience at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla was one I'd rather forget. I went in with a serious issue, expecting urgent care, but what I got was a sigh and a dismissive attitude from the staff. I felt like I was just another number, which was frustrating because I genuinely needed help. The staff's negligence was concerning, and there were times I felt they didn’t take my condition seriously. I was literally left waiting while they seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves than in providing care. It's disheartening, and I believe there should be a thorough evaluation of their practices because no one should go through what I did. Emergencies can't wait, and neither should care. I hope they take this feedback seriously, as I know I won’t be returning anytime soon.

I had no idea just how critical trauma care could be until my father had a life-threatening accident. The ICU services did ultimately save his life, which is a huge relief, but I was left feeling disappointed by the overall experience. The staff interactions were a mixed bag; while some professionals communicated effectively and offered comforting support, others seemed a bit overwhelmed and less responsive to our pressing inquiries. I really think there’s room for improvement in terms of staff responsiveness and ensuring that families receive timely updates during such anxious times. Once we got home, I felt the need for more structured follow-up care to help with his recovery process. Though the care he received in critical moments was invaluable, the lack of strong communication and continuity afterward made the situation a lot more stressful than it had to be. Here’s hoping they consider these points for future improvements.
