From the start, I didn’t expect to feel so let down during my cancer treatment journey here in Nashville. I was hopeful for compassionate care, but the staff interactions left a lot to be desired. It felt like I was just another patient on a long list, rather than someone in need of support during a tough time. I believe that when dealing with something as serious as cancer, a little more empathy and understanding can go a long way. Unfortunately, my experience was quite the opposite, and I came away feeling disappointed, wishing I had found a place where patients are treated with more compassion.

After trying the bone marrow aspirate and biopsy at Vanderbilt Health, I have to say I was really impressed with the entire experience! Honestly, I was a bit anxious going in, especially since I wanted to rule out multiple myeloma, but from the moment I arrived, the staff was just so friendly and reassuring. Krista and Allison were incredible; they took the time to explain everything and really made sure I was comfortable throughout the whole process. The procedure itself was painless, which was a pleasant surprise. It's clear they prioritize patient care. I left feeling relieved and well taken care of—definitely a positive experience overall! ❤️

What I loved about Vanderbilt Health is their wide range of services, from acupuncture to nutritional counseling, but my experience with scheduling surgery left me feeling pretty frustrated. I thought scheduling an appointment with a surgeon would be straightforward, yet the communication was disappointing. I reached out a few times about getting a surgery date and just felt ignored. It seemed like a game of phone tag that I didn't have the energy to play. I ended up having to go with St. Thomas, which was a bit of a hassle considering all the options Nashville has for health care. I really think they could benefit from improving their scheduling process. It felt like they had a lot of good things going on, but getting in touch shouldn't have been so difficult. Here’s hoping they streamline things a bit more for future patients!
