Southern Area Behavioral Healthcare Services

To my surprise, my experience at Southern Area Behavioral Healthcare Services wasn't what I had hoped for. I've been in for a few sessions occasionally, mostly for counseling and support during a challenging time. While I appreciated the services they offer, like their Adolescent IOP and case management, I found the front desk staff to be unprofessional and dismissive. It left me feeling more frustrated than when I walked in. I truly believe that with some improvements in their front desk professionalism, they could really enhance the whole experience for those seeking help.

I’ve always loved the idea of having supportive mental health services nearby, but my recent experience has left me feeling frustrated. I occasionally seek support for my disability claim, hoping to receive necessary medication in a timely manner. Unfortunately, communication has been a challenge. I felt like my concerns were lost in the shuffle, and the staff seemed unresponsive when I reached out about my paperwork. It’s tough when you're depending on these services to get the help you need, and you’re left feeling unheard. I really think they need to step up their communication, especially concerning those crucial medication needs. There’s potential for improvement, and if they can focus on being more responsive, it would make a world of difference for folks like me who just want to feel supported.

I have to say, I was really relieved after taking my daughter for a therapy evaluation in Dallas. The staff was incredibly helpful and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. My daughter was able to start therapy right away, which was a huge relief for both of us. The only downside was the slightly longer wait time to actually begin the sessions, but overall, I’m very satisfied with the experience.
