When I first visited Planet Fitness in Independence Heights, I really hoped it would be my go-to spot for improving my fitness. The place is spacious and generally well-equipped, but I've had my fair share of ups and downs. While the Total Body Enhancement booth with its red light and vibra-shape technology was pretty interesting, I found that the staff's attitude was a bit underwhelming at times. It's really important for me to feel welcomed in a gym, and some interactions left me feeling a bit disappointed. I do appreciate the HydroMassage option—nothing like a nice water massage after a workout to really help with muscle recovery! I also think they could benefit from maintaining their equipment more promptly, as I noticed a few machines that seemed to be out of order. Overall, I believe with a little improvement in staff interaction and maintenance, Planet Fitness could truly shine as a fitness hub here in Houston.
