Every time I find myself needing to pick up medicine, I feel a mix of necessity and anxiety. It’s become a bit of an adventure—one I didn’t sign up for! Since my last trip, where I had a bit of a scare in the parking lot, I always remind myself to be extra cautious. I mean, can you believe how shopping for medicine can feel like preparing for a mission? I always try to park my car right in front of the store now and do a little recon before I head in. Though the actual getting of my prescription goes fairly smoothly, I can’t help but feel on edge at times. The pharmacy staff is generally friendly, but the anticipation of the unknown around every corner—especially at banks or busy stores—can leave you a little frazzled. I would really appreciate it if we could all just be more aware of our surroundings. So here’s my two cents: when you're out, take that extra moment to look around and be mindful of where you park. It might make all the difference. Not the worst place for picking up meds, but I do wish the whole experience felt more secure.
