I've always loved the idea of speech therapy, thinking it could elevate communication skills or help with swallowing issues. So, I was really looking forward to my sessions at NeuroRestorative, especially under Paige's guidance. Unfortunately, my experience was quite the opposite of what I had hoped for. The lack of support and direction left me feeling lost, and to make matters worse, the attitude I received was rather rude. Rather than walking away feeling more confident in my abilities, I left feeling disappointed and frustrated. I truly expected better, especially from a place known for its care.

From the moment I stepped into NeuroRestorative in Houston, I was hopeful for a positive experience during my inpatient rehabilitation after my stroke. Unfortunately, that hope faded quickly. While the facility has great potential, I found the overall atmosphere to be a bit disheartening, especially with some staff interactions that felt unprofessional and rushed. I genuinely believe they could benefit from having a dietitian on-site to tailor meal plans for patients recovering from strokes. It would also help to have better oversight to ensure guests feel supported. I came in looking for recovery assistance, but I left feeling more disappointed than empowered. Here’s to hoping they can make some improvements for future patients!
