La Cantera Resort & Spa

I’d heard so much about this place before my business trip, and while the views are truly fantastic, the prices for food and drinks felt a bit steep. The staff was absolutely excellent, making sure we were taken care of, but I would’ve loved to see a little more consideration for all patrons. The resort is clean and well-maintained, but let’s be honest—better pricing on the menu would really elevate the whole experience. I guess it’s just one of those trade-offs when you mix business with pleasure! 🌅

After hearing great things about the place, I decided to treat myself to a stay in San Antonio, hoping for a relaxing getaway. However, I was quite disappointed mainly due to constant noise disturbances. The renovations were in full swing, and it felt like I was trying to relax in the middle of a construction site. Even my attempts to reach out to the staff were frustrating—responses were slow and not very helpful, which only added to the stress I was hoping to escape from. I really think they need to improve how they manage noise during upgrades. Given it’s in a beautiful area on the Northwest Side, I was sad that it didn’t deliver the peaceful retreat I envisioned. Here's hoping they make some changes! 🤷‍♂️

I was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance at La Cantera Resort & Spa on the Northwest Side of San Antonio. The setting is gorgeous, and I had high hopes for my spa day. However, my experience was dampened by a few facility issues that weren't communicated clearly at the start. The staff was nice and even offered a discount for the inconvenience, which I appreciated, but I think improving communication about facility status would go a long way for future guests. I still enjoyed some aspects of my treatment, but I left feeling a bit disappointed, especially since I was really looking forward to a day of relaxation.
