I wasn’t sure what to expect when I joined the Promise Program for mental health support. At first, I was hopeful that I would receive the help I needed, but I ended up feeling quite disappointed. The interactions I had with staff, particularly with Mr. Bill, left much to be desired. It felt as if my mental health concerns were brushed aside rather than addressed. I believe there needs to be better oversight and training for staff to ensure that individuals seeking help receive the appropriate support. My experience has led me to leave the program without the assistance I was genuinely hoping to find.
