I was pleasantly surprised by the emphasis on recovery programs here, but I felt quite disappointed with the learning opportunities available to inmates. The staff interaction left much to be desired; they seemed unhelpful and not very engaged. Given the recent outbreak, I would suggest that they consider closing the facility temporarily to ensure everyone's safety. There's a lot of potential for improvement!

When I found myself needing to retrieve some personal belongings, I was really hoping for a smoother process. I occasionally utilize local services in Westlake, and my experience here was a bit disappointing. Cynthia was my contact, but I found her and the staff to be unresponsive at times, which added to my frustration. Better communication could really help in situations like mine. It's evident they have the intent to support people, but I believe they need to improve their responsiveness to make the process more efficient.
