I came in for cancer treatment, excited and ready to tackle this challenge, but what I encountered was a disappointing lack of communication and care that left me feeling more stressed than supported. The urologist I consulted seemed dismissive, and I often felt like just another number on the patient list, rather than a person with concerns and fears. The anesthesiologist’s approach mirrored this sentiment—there was little compassion in the air, which was disheartening during such a vulnerable time. I genuinely believe that improving patient care and ensuring procedures are followed with due diligence could make a world of difference. It felt like my needs were overshadowed by the rush of the clinic. I hope they take this feedback to heart because a little respect and compassion can go a long way for someone facing such serious health issues.
