Upon entering the office in North Mountain Village, I felt a little hopeful about my counseling session. I've been dealing with some anxiety and thought that talking to someone might help. Unfortunately, that feeling quickly faded. The atmosphere felt more cold than welcoming, and I felt a bit dismissed by the staff members. While I understand that everyone has off days, I was really taken aback by how rude the counselor was during our interaction. It made me feel even more anxious, which was the opposite of what I was hoping for. I had expected some level of professionalism given the importance of mental health support, but that wasn’t the case here. Going forward, I truly hope they work on their staff training because, honestly, the experience left me feeling more overwhelmed than I was before. This isn’t the supportive environment I need when seeking help with my medication management and overall wellness.
