I recently visited Essence Nail & Spa in Olney-Oak Lane, Philadelphia, hoping for a relaxing afternoon with a gel nail polish treatment. The staff were incredibly friendly and made me feel welcomed right away, which is always a plus. However, I found myself a bit disappointed with the durability of the gel polish. It started chipping faster than I expected, which was frustrating since I had been looking forward to flaunting my fresh nails for longer. I feel like the space could really benefit from some updates and better ventilation too; it felt a bit stuffy during my visit. Overall, while the experience had its highlights, I left wanting more in terms of product quality.
