It’s hard to share my experience without feeling frustrated. I began my journey with Methadone Maintenance Therapy, hoping to find some support for my substance use struggles. Unfortunately, what I encountered was far from what I expected. The clinic's management seemed uncooperative—every appointment felt rushed, as though my concerns were just another item on a long list to check off. It made me feel like I was more of a number than a person in need of help. While the medication was effective in managing my cravings, the lack of genuine care from the staff overshadowed that benefit. It's vital for any treatment center to foster a supportive environment that encourages open communication, and sadly, that was missing here. I believe there’s a lot of potential for improvement if they could change how they treat their patients and make an effort to listen and engage. I’m still on my path to recovery, but I’m looking for a place where I feel truly valued and heard. If you’re considering starting treatment, just be aware of the mixed experience I had; you deserve better than I received.
