Once I visited the Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute in Austin, I had high hopes for a refreshing hair salon experience, especially given its stellar reputation for student training. I have to say, my experience at the Austin location was a bit disappointing. I went in expecting to easily exchange a defective product, but what I encountered was far from ideal. The staff seemed overwhelmed and rather dismissive of my concerns. Instead of receiving understanding or support, I felt met with rudeness, which really put a damper on my visit. Customer service is such a crucial part of any business, and it seems like there’s definitely room for improvement in training staff to handle these situations better. I appreciate the focus on holistic wellness and beautiful services they offer, but when the customer service doesn't match that standard, it really affects the entire experience. I would love to see them provide better training for their team on how to approach customer issues more empathetically, especially since they are in the wellness industry here in St. Johns, Texas. Overall, I left feeling frustrated and without a resolution, which is not the experience I was looking for.
